IIT Delhi introduces master program in ‘Healthcare Technology’ for medical and allied clinical professionals – Education News

In a step to integrate medicine and engineering, the Centre for Biomedical Engineering (CBME) at IIT Delhi has launched the Master of Science (Research) programme in ‘Healthcare Technology’, according to an official press release from the institute. The course is set to commence in January 2025, this programme is tailored specifically for medical and allied clinical professionals, fostering innovation at the intersection of healthcare and engineering.

 “This program will provide the much-needed intermediate degree and training for bridging the gap between traditional bachelor’s degrees and the more extensive Master’s and doctoral degrees necessary to become an independent researcher in the medical field,” Neetu Singh, head, CBME at IIT Delhi, said. 

Enrolled students will benefit from fellowships and remuneration comparable to entry-level salaries for medical and allied discipline graduates. Furthermore, the program offers a seamless transition into Ph.D. studies at IIT Delhi.
